Justin Lambert


Justin has more than 20 years’ experience specialising in intellectual property matters in England and in Australia. Justin worked for many years as a solicitor for a magic circle firm in London before progressing his career in senior leadership roles with two of Australia’s most respected intellectual property firms. He has a background in science, having studied chemistry and pure maths, and is recognised as a leading patent lawyer.

Contentious work

Justin has handled a large variety of contentious patent, trade mark, copyright and design cases for individuals, SME’s and the world’s largest companies. His industry sector experience includes pharmaceutical (small and large molecule), rDNA, petrochemical, fine chemical, automotive, construction, mining, semiconductor, electrical engineering and chip design.

Commercial Work

In Europe, Justin has assisted with share and asset acquisitions in the pharmaceutical, fine chemicals and electronics industries. In Australia, he has advised in connection with the sale, acquisition, or licensing of technology in diverse fields, from construction equipment to machine vision. His commercial experience includes providing due diligence and freedom to operate advice, and drafting terms of sale, licences, research and development agreements, collaboration agreements, coexistence agreements, software development contracts, distribution agreements, franchise arrangements and web site terms of use.
